Cleveland Cavaliers Fire Head Coach Tyronn Lue, Locker Room Reportedly Caught Off Guard and "Pissed"
Several reports have indicated that the Cleveland Cavaliers have fired their head coach, Tyronn Lue, on Sunday, says The Associated Press.
The Cavaliers are unfortunately off to a 0-6 start without Lebron James, who left Cleveland this summer for the second time in his career and signed with the Los Angeles Lakers as a free agent. According to Complex, there were also disagreements between him and the general manager to play vets like J.R. Smith over top rookie pick, Collin Sexton.
Lue is the only coach in the history of the Cleveland Cavaliers to win an NBA championship and four straight trips to the Finals. The former LA Lakers players had three years left on his five-year $35 million contract that he signed after the 2016 NBA finals victory.
Hollywood Unlocked reports, inside sources say the decision has left the Cavs locker room “pissed." Several players went to social media to express their gratitude for the coach.
T Lue thanks for the memories and more importantly our partnership bringing a 🏆 to that deserved city/fan base. U know how to find me 🙏🏾— LeBron James (@KingJames) October 28, 2018
