WOW! ASHANTI CONCERT CANCELLED BY UNIVERSITY, ONLY 24 TICKETS SOLD

Veteran singer, #Ashanti was scheduled to headline Stony Brook University's concert for students, with #JustineSkye and the university's own Kelsea Johnson (who is also a contestant on #thevoice). With a week remaining before the scheduled show, the concert was cancelled due to only 24 tickets being sold out of a population of 25,000+ students according to the University.

Now, it's not totally Ashanti's fault. TheYBFDaily reports KTSE singer, Teyana Taylor, was originally booked to perform, but pulled out two weeks prior due to "unforseen circumstances”.

The university's production team were able to secure Ashanti within this short time frame, but apparently the students weren't exactly ecstatic to see her perform. On top of that, the students were definitely kids, maybe even babies when Ashanti was poppin on radio and mainstream.

She is a living legend and as beautiful as ever, but let's be real, the college age range is most likely not her target demographic.

The school issued a statement revealing the exact number of tickets sold (petty!) and explained why they decided to axe the show.
