Despite pregnancy complications, Real Housewives of Atlanta alumni, Kenya Moore Daly, gives birth to her daughter Brooklyn Doris Daly on Sunday, Nov 4, at 9:39 am EST.

Brooklyn came into this world weighing 5 lbs and 12 oz and is the fist child for both Kenya and husband, Marc Daly.

47-year-old Kenya told People.com that their daugher's name holds a special meaning to the couple:

"Brooklyn, because that's where we met and fell in love, and Doris after my grandmother who passed away last year and who raised me." says Moore-Daly.

Earlier this week, the reality star and former Miss USA informed fans she may be delivering early due to complications from pregnancy.

I made fun of my swollen feet at @cynthiabailey10 party. Next day my tests came back for possible preeclampsia... I gained 17 lbs in ONE week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine. This is NOT normal! I took more tests.
