Nick Young Waived by the Denver Nuggets After Playing Only 4 Games

Just a few weeks ago, fans were celebrating NBA Champion Nick Young being picked up by the Denver Nuggets.

In his debut game, Young was welcomed by the home crowd and received a standing ovation after he his first shot was a successful three-pointer.

Today, in shocking news, the Denver Nuggets tweeted that Swaggy P has been released from the team.

Apparently this situation was to be expected based on the type of contract The Mile High City NBA team and Young had agreed upon.

With Paul Millsap returning from injury last night in Phoenix -- and the expected arrivals of Gary Harris and Will Barton soon -- Nick Young had to be released. He was on the roster using an injury hardship exception, which runs out when injured players return.

The Nuggets already have the maximum number of contracts allowed by the NBA on the roster -- 15. Plus two 2-way players. Young understood the situation and had been great while he was with the team.
