Matadi Sela Petit has Passed Away After Being Flown to America by Dikembe Mutumbo for Life-Saving Surgery

Matadi Sela Petit has passed away on December 21.

8-year-old Matadi Sela Petit from Kinshasa, DRC was flown to America by former NBA player, Dikembe Mutombo, to undergo a life-saving surgery.

The Dikembe Mutumbo Foundation shared that before surgery commenced, Sati suffered a rare and unpredictable genetic reaction to the anesthesia and unfortunately passed away.

We thank Dr. Ryan Osborne and his team, the Cedars-Sinai Hospital medical team, the Ronald McDonald House, the Biamba Marie Mutombo Hospital, the American Embassy in Kinshasa and all those who in large and small ways embraced Matadi and his family…
