Meek Mill 'CHAMPIONSHIPS' Debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200
It has been less than eight months since Meek Mill was released from prison for violating his probation.
Today (Dec. 10), Billboard revealed that the Philly rapper's latest LP Championships, which includes features from Jay-Z, Drake, Cardi B, Rick Ross and more, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
The ex-MMG rapper was able to rake in about 229,000 equivalent album units in its first week (42,000 from pure sales). If you think that's alot, Championships only marks Meek Mill's second biggest first-week sales total to date.
XXL reports, Meek's debut album, Dreams and Nightmares, moved 246,000 units in its opening week, also securing the No. 1 spot on the chart.
Page Six reports, Meek Mill celebrated his No. 1 album in his hometown of Philly Saturday night at NOTO nightclub.
At the release party for Championships- guests included 21 Savage, Lil Uzi Vert, Chief Keef and Lil Durk.
